Coast Guard C-130's fly both logistics and operational missions, and will carry space available passengers on the logistics missions except when they are carrying hazardous cargo. Some of the C-130 bases fly regular logistics missions. The C-130's at St. Petersburg, FL support Coast Guard detachments at Nassau and Great Iguana in the Bahamas, and the C-130's at Elizabeth City rotate through St. Johns, Newfoundland in Canada for ice patrol six months of the year. These missions usually transit to New London, CT to pick up ice observers and then fly a mission enroute St. Johns, so Space A passengers may be limited to the Elizabeth City-New London leg. The HC-130H is equipped with 14 web seats, and two pallets with 15 airline seats each can be added for on logistics missions.
The HU-25's mostly fly operational missions, so they rarely carry passengers. But the HU-25's are allowed to carry passengers when they are not on operational missions.
