The Hawker Seafury , constructed at the end of ww2 and produced after the end of fightings in Europe, shows the final development of the piston engined fighters - in this case a british plane. The aircraft was the last piston engined fighter to enter service in the UK.
Influenced by the german Focke Wulf 190 A , the plane shows the absolutely high end development that these kind of airplanes went through worldwide. Only one look at it - is a look at a perfect beauty......The new developed jet engines stopped the further use of this kind of fighters, but to me the ' Seafury ' means a very high standard of technology, that was bringing people into the air - and the sound of the Bristol Centaurus was amazing to me
