The Cessna 510 Citation Mustang, also known as the Model 510, stands out in the world of very light jets (VLJs). Launched at the 2002 NBAA convention, the Mustang carved a niche in business aviation. It first flew on April 23, 2005, and earned FAA-type certification on September 8, 2006. This agile jet, powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW615F turbofans, produces 1,460 pounds of thrust each. Consequently, it can reach a top speed of 340 knots (630 km/h). With a range of up to 1,167 nautical miles (2,161 km), the Citation Mustang excels in point-to-point VIP transport. Moreover, its design features a swept low-wing, T-tail, and retractable tricycle gear, making it adept at operating from shorter runways.
